Recently I announced how pleased I am to be working on some projects for Homestead House’s Fusion Mineral Paint line. First some training materials, then presentations in Orlando. Heading to Toronto this weekend. Furniture finish demonstrations, basic social media and merchandising for merchants. It has been great fun getting to know a new DIY paint line and the retailers too.
Over the weekend I used my experience from the amazing Orlando event to work on a small canvas. Jennylyn and Loree showed us fun layering techniques I couldn’t wait to try in my studio.
Fusion Mineral Paint is 100% acrylic which is nothing like the Chalk Paint I am used to (and still love). There are several Fusion products including metallic colors, gilding waxes and textures, not to mention tools, brushes and stencils. I used several to create my miniature masterpiece. I got my script inspiration from this antique religious book I fell in love with while junking. Plus I used some old cancelled stamps from around the world that I found in our attic, left behind by a little boy.
One cool benefit to the Fusion line is that some of the products come in the most adorable tiny containers, so it’s affordable to experiment.
